Since one fic has now been definitely adopted, I wanted to put out another call for people to adopt fics. Below is the status of fics put up for adoption and their status. If you’re interested in adopting a fic, send me an ask and let me know! Even if you don’t want to adopt a fic yourself, but there’s a fic you like that you would like to see adopted, you can reblog this post so that word gets around.

In case anyone here isn’t following the fic on AO3, the wonderful aki-ran has adopted What Is Left to Live For and has finished the third chapter. I think it’s turned out great so far, so if you’ve read the first couple chapters, take a look! (If you’re new to the fic, though, please make sure you check the tags.)

If You Lie Down With Dogs only has 13 chapters, yes. They’re on the kink meme on both LJ (up to chapter 10 or 11) and DW, AO3, and tumblr. It’s the exact same everywhere, so there shouldn’t really be a need to do anything aside from pick which site you like best and read it there.

But this is as good a time as any to definitively say that I won’t be writing any more homestuck fanfiction, at least for quite a while. This is also the end of any fics I’ve started that no one else intends to pick up. I’ve received an offer on Sugar-Coated Problems, but that depends on that person’s schedule and so forth. IYLD is the only fic that’s not available for someone else to continue writing, since I’m still planning on writing a summary of what the rest of the story would have been. So once again, if you’re interested in adopting one of my fics so that others can continue to read them, let me know.

For anyone curious as to why I won’t be writing any more fics or continuing the ones that were started, it’s actually a number of reasons, not least of which is that I’ve lost some interest in Homestuck and am focusing on my own original work instead (which is being worked on—I’ve just been taking a much needed break from tumblr—and I’ll hopefully have more specifics to announce soon), but there are more deep-seated problems that I was hoping would dissipate much more quickly than they are. So I’m sorry to disappoint you all, and I hope that some of you will show some interest in continuing the fics I’ve left behind and that maybe some of you will find some of my game projects worth checking out in the future.

Hopefully, I’ll have both the IYLD summary and some game news up in the next couple weeks.

I plan on posting an abbreviated form of my own development progress checklist quite soon, along with brief major character bios, starting with the player character, Roux Desvin.

In case anyone has been wondering what I’ve been working on recently, this is a quick introductory post to my first story game intended for public release: Falling Violet. Hopefully, the tiny summary there will pique some interest, and there will be plenty of lore, character information, and development updates on Rabbitfruit Games’ tumblr as work on the game continues.

As I said in my post about fic adoption, I do plan to continue IYLD, however, it’s not unlikely that it will end up incomplete. If it does, I’ll figure out a way to get the rest of the story’s plot across in shorter form.

The only fic that has priority to be finished soon-ish is the BroJohn oneshot (since it’s more than halfway done anyway). Aside from that, the only ones I have plans of continuing myself are IYLD and What Is Left to Live For. For partially completed oneshots, I’ll probably post what I have on google docs for perusal, but I probably won’t be finishing any.

For series that I won’t be completing, I’m putting them up for adoption, since I’m sure I must have some followers who are writers. I’d love to see these fics finished, in some form, but I just don’t have the time or the interest to do so myself, so if you think you’re interested in writing them, please let me know! Sorry for the lack of fic stuff, ya’ll. First there was holiday stuff, then there was being sick, now several projects and a giveaway have been taking most of my attention. But hopefully I’ll have the BroJohn finished soon, plus an announcement about some other project?
